Global Alliance Paper
“We bring you the paper mills of the world” - a smarter, global approach to low-cost paper sourcing.
GSSI established Global Alliance Paper in 2006 to provide alternatives for global paper buyers and consumers who are frustrated with the high cost of doing business and the limited number of options available to them. Over the last several years, the global paper industry adopted a strategy of consolidation in an effort to improve profits. This shift in manufacturing power resulted in a reduced number of paper companies and a steady increase of prices for paper grades across the board. Paper buyers have fewer options now. They're facing increased costs of paper, as well as higher printing, distribution, and postage costs. A supply vacuum has been created. Global Alliance Paper, Ltd. is positioned perfectly to fill that market vacuum.
You get the low-cost paper you need – when and where you need it. Here’s how:
Superior Services:
- Global Alliance Paper (GAP) will handle your paper requirements from end to end. That is, we take your exact paper specifications to our offices in Shanghai where a team of paper experts will identify and reach a minimum of 2-3 mills that can match your requirements. These are all mills that GAP has audited and established relationships with.
- Based on your needs, we then chose the proper quality, cost, and service fit for you. Our customer service team is based in the U.S. (Aliso Viejo, CA) so your service needs are handled by a multi-lingual team domestically. Your GAP contacts are here in the U.S., and our customer service team communicates many times daily (during our nighttime when Asia is up doing business).
- The logistics of moving container loads of paper across the ocean are all handled in a seamless fashion by our own freight group. GAP manages all the customs clearance, fees, documentation, etc. so you don’t have to.
- Due to the time factor involved in shipping from another continent, GAP contracts with two warehouse facilities here in the U.S.: one in Baltimore, MD and one in Long Beach, CA. This allows our customers to draw from inventory for timely deliveries as if they were ordering from a domestic mill.
Stronger Supply Partners:
- Global Alliance Paper only does business with world-class facilities. We have access to hundreds of paper mills throughout China, many of which are owned by the government while others are privately held. They all have high interest in exporting a portion of their production to the lucrative U.S. market. GAP is a trusted western partner who can accomplish this goal for them.
- Over the last 10 years, we have established the critical relationships (government, business, and personal) necessary to do business in China. Our paper mills have all been vetted and audited by our In-Country Managers with an eye toward our U.S. customers and their requirements.
- Most of our paper machines are relatively new with many just 1-2 years old. The personnel, from supervisors to operators, throughout our mills have been trained to meet the highest world standards of paper manufacturing. They understand what the U.S. consumer wants and they all work hard toward customer satisfaction.
